Job description

Description

This is an onsite Network Engineer consulting opportunity focused on daily network engineering operations, infrastructure support, incident response, maintenance activities, and network security administration within a large enterprise environment.

Responsibilities Include:

- Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise wired and wireless network infrastructure, including switching, routing, and connectivity services.

- Perform field installation and deployment of network equipment, including configuring, racking, stacking, cabling, and testing switches.

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues through monitoring, root cause analysis, and field-based troubleshooting.

- Investigate and resolve network incidents while coordinating repairs and maintaining service availability.

- Escalate complex issues and participate in on-call support activities.

- Perform system upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and network performance optimization.

- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, incident records, and operational runbooks.

- Collaborate with network engineering, architecture, security, infrastructure teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

- Support and maintain network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, and related security controls.

- Assist with troubleshooting and responding to network security incidents.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
