Job description

Process Engineer opening in Columbia, SC for a well-established precision manufacturing organization. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll own electroplating and finishing operations — running lines, troubleshooting process failures, and driving continuous improvement. We need someone who understands the chemistry behind why a plating bath behaves the way it does, not just how to run one.
This role offers competitive pay, overtime opportunities, full benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO), and a clear path to team leadership.
First Shift: 7am-3:30pm M-F
Requirements:

  • 5+ years of electroplating/metal finishing experience
  • Ability to explain the chemistry behind the process, not just execute it
  • Gold, silver, or nickel preferred; hard chrome or zinc alloy considered
  • Wastewater treatment experience required (licensure a plus)
  • BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering; Associate's + 5 years experience considered

Role Duties:

  • Set up, run, and optimize plating and finishing lines
  • Troubleshoot process issues and lead root cause analysis
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and work procedures
  • Support wastewater treatment operations
  • Provide hands-on guidance and mentoring to operators
