JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Must have a service-oriented personality and enjoy helping others. A person should have the ability to manage time wisely and be familiar with the area we serve. Applicants should also be able to utilize current technology.
Provides local transportation for senior and disabled passengers, assists clients on and off the bus, performs daily physical checks of the vehicle, operates wheelchair lift, utilizes tablets to view manifests, records daily mileage, sells bus tickets to passengers, reports mechanical problems and incidents, keeps inside and outside of the bus clean, and performs other duties as assigned. Be able to work a flexible schedule and work occasional weekends.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND APPLICATION PROCESS
  1. Possess an acceptable driving record; and
  2. Must have or be able to obtain a Chauffeurs License or CDL; and
  3. Must pass D.O.T. physical and drug screen; and
  4. Have at least one year of paid work experience; and
  5. Be a citizen of the United States or resident alien with the right to work in the United States; and
  6. Be able to lift 50 pounds and assist riders on/off bus; and
  7. Have a high school diploma or a valid equivalency certificate.

Ability to:
  • Work variable hours
  • Follow established daily operating procedures
  • Assure the safety of passengers
  • Work effectively with the public and department personnel
