This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Science Content Writer based in Netherlands.

This fully remote role is designed for a science-focused storyteller who can bridge the gap between advanced research and engaging digital content.
You will transform complex scientific discoveries into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with researchers, innovators, and broader audiences.
The role combines scientific expertise, content strategy, and community engagement across leading professional and social platforms.
You will collaborate closely with scientific teams and growth stakeholders to amplify breakthrough research and build credibility.
This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about biotechnology, AI-driven research, and communicating discoveries in an accessible way.
You will have the opportunity to shape a growing scientific presence while experimenting with new content formats and AI-powered workflows.

Accountabilities:

The Science Content Writer will be responsible for developing impactful scientific communications, managing content initiatives, and helping translate cutting-edge research into accessible stories. This role requires a balance of scientific understanding, creativity, and strategic thinking.

  • Develop and execute social media strategies and content calendars across platforms such as X (Twitter) and LinkedIn.
  • Create thought leadership content, including technical blog posts, research announcements, case studies, and educational content.
  • Translate complex scientific topics, including peptide research, biotechnology, and AI-driven workflows, into engaging content for scientific communities.
  • Produce and coordinate visual scientific assets such as data visualizations, research graphics, and scientific animations.
  • Work closely with scientific experts to identify important discoveries, insights, and research milestones to highlight.
  • Support collaboration initiatives with external partners and coordinate content distribution across relevant channels.
  • Analyze content performance, monitor engagement trends, and continuously improve content strategies.
  • Leverage AI tools to increase content production efficiency while maintaining accuracy, quality, and scientific integrity.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines a strong scientific foundation with proven content creation skills and an understanding of online scientific communities. They should be comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, innovative environment.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacology, computational biology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience creating scientific, technical, or educational content for social media, newsletters, blogs, research communities, or professional audiences.
  • Strong understanding of peptide research, drug discovery, biotechnology, or adjacent scientific fields.
  • Familiarity with scientific communities and content trends across platforms such as X, Reddit, LinkedIn, or similar channels.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, accurately, and engagingly.
  • Experience using AI tools strategically to improve research, writing, and content production workflows.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects, work independently, and build processes from the ground up.
  • Strong interest in emerging technologies, scientific innovation, and AI-enabled research.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience managing a science-focused social account, newsletter, podcast, or online community.
  • Knowledge of AI applications in biotechnology, scientific commercialization, or startup environments.
  • Experience creating video content, scientific animations, or visual explanations of research concepts.
  • Familiarity with biotech industry trends, key organizations, and scientific developments.
  • Experience contributing to technical articles, whitepapers, research summaries, or case studies.
  • Understanding of decentralized science (DeSci) concepts or Web3 ecosystems.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote position with the flexibility to work from anywhere.
  • Opportunity to contribute to innovative biotechnology and AI-driven research initiatives.
  • Collaboration with scientific experts and growth-focused teams.
  • Ability to shape scientific storytelling strategies from an early stage.
  • Opportunity to experiment with modern content formats and AI-powered workflows.
