Job Summary
SHI is seeking a Content Strategist & Writer to support the Cybersecurity solution pillar as part of the Editorial and Research team. This role is responsible for developing clear, compelling content that drives thought leadership, strengthens brand positioning, and supports campaign and product storytelling.
This position blends content strategy, editorial storytelling, and marketing writing, translating complex cybersecurity technologies, trends, and innovations into clear, value-driven narratives that resonate with target audiences.
The Content Strategist partners closely with product and solutions marketing, growth marketing, demand generation, creative teams, and subject matter experts to create content that educates buyers, differentiates SHI in the market, and drives measurable growth across the funnel.
Role Description
  • Develop content strategies aligned to Cybersecurity business goals, go-to-market motions, industry trends, and audience needs
  • Translate complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, compelling narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Own full-funnel written content across formats (blogs, eBooks, whitepapers, webinars, email campaigns, landing pages), ensuring alignment to awareness, consideration, and decision stages
  • Collaborate on non-written content formats (video, podcasts, infographics, social media) to ensure cohesive storytelling across channels
  • Create product-adjacent and partner-facing content, including solution briefs, one-pagers, and FAQs, while partnering with creative teams on web copy
  • Develop innovative approaches to building awareness and demand within the cybersecurity space, including buyer-led topic clusters and reusable content strategies
  • Utilize AI tools to support research and drafting, applying strong editorial judgment to ensure accuracy, quality, and brand alignment
  • Support content publishing in SHI's Resource Hub using WordPress, ensuring proper tagging, organization, and discoverability
  • Monitor cybersecurity industry trends and connect insights to SHI's services and solutions in a differentiated way
  • Partner with editorial leadership and external agencies to develop research-backed thought leadership
  • Align content to broader company narratives and cross-solution messaging where appropriate
  • Continuously improve content through refreshes, repackaging, and optimization
  • Apply SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) best practices to improve discoverability and performance

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex cybersecurity concepts effectively
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and SMEs
  • Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office, Asana, WordPress, and SEMrush
  • Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events as needed

Preferred
  • Experience in cybersecurity industry
  • Familiarity with product marketing concepts (positioning, personas, value propositions)
  • Experience creating sales enablement or go-to-market aligned content

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $80,000 - $130,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
