Job Description
An established industrial manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate – Receiving & Forklift to support daily warehouse operations in Houston, TX. This role focuses on receiving, material movement, inventory transactions, and ensuring materials are available to support production. You will operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records and a safe, organized work area. This position is ideal for someone with solid receiving experience who is comfortable using computer-based inventory systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, move, gather, distribute, and prepare materials according to warehouse documentation and production requirements.
  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely while moving materials throughout the facility.
  • Record materials received, moved, and distributed using computer-based inventory systems and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Perform physical inventories and cycle counts while identifying and documenting material shortages.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse while following established PPE, equipment, and workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of previous warehouse experience required.
  • Receiving experience required.
  • Previous forklift operating experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems required.
  • Strong attendance and punctuality record.
  • Ability to read and write in English and understand required safety documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle is desired for performing warehouse and inventory transactions.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is beneficial.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to work around loud noise and moving equipment in a warehouse that is not air-conditioned or heated.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment while following PPE and safety requirements.
  • Experience operating Class II and IV forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers/manlifts, or similar equipment is beneficial.
