Job description

The Downs Racetrack and Casino is Hiring for Seasonal/Temporary Concessions Cashiers for the 2026 Down Racing Season. This position will be at the Racetrack. This position pays $12.00 per hour. All shifts are needed!

The primary duties of a Concessions Cashier

Welcome guests who approach the concession stand

Take orders for food and beverages, may prepare some items

Acquaint customers with prices and packing options

Issue tickets for ordered items

Process cash payments and tender change

Ensue that all received cash is well accounted for and stored properly

Participate in the set-up of the concession stand

Perform clean-up duties at the end of each shift, or as needed.

Create and maintain reports of cash received against food and beverage items sold.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Previous cash handling experience preferred

Must be able to work any shift, including holidays and weekends

Must present a well-groomed appearance

Must be at least 18 years of age
