Christian High School, a college preparatory school in the greater San Diego area, is accepting applications for a Woodshop Teacher. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching woodworking, construction, manufacturing, or industrial arts at the secondary level and be passionate about equipping students with practical skills, craftsmanship, creativity, and problem-solving abilities through a Biblical worldview.
The Woodshop teacher will serve students in grades 7โ12. This position may include teaching introductory and advanced woodworking, shop safety, tool operation, construction techniques, design projects, and related industrial arts coursework. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about Christian education and is called to mentor students as they grow in technical skill, responsibility, creativity, and character through hands-on learning experiences.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree, preferably in Industrial Arts, Career Technical Education (CTE), Woodworking, Construction, Engineering, or Education.
Possess or obtain within the first year of CUSSD employment an ACSI temporary teacher certification.
All teachers must hold a valid teaching credential.
Minimum 2โ3 years of teaching or industry experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of wood shop safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and proper use of hand and power tools.
Ability to foster a structured, safe, engaging, and collaborative shop environment.
