Title: Core Finisher

Duration: 6 Months (Temp to Hire)

1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM
2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM
3rd shift
Description
Responsibilities
• Carefully file, smooth, and shape ceramic cores using hand tools and precision instruments
• Inspect ceramic cores for cracks, chips, and dimensional defects per engineering specifications
• Perform minor repairs or touch-ups to maintain product integrity
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following safety protocols
• Document completed work and report quality issues to supervisors or team leads
• Read, interpret, and adhere to technical drawings and procedural documentation
• Operate machinery and tooling safely and efficiently
• Comply with internal Safety and 6S standards
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude
• Be open-minded, willing to learn, and a strong team player
• Maintain excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Maintain detailed understanding of Core Finishing processes (Level I, II, and III)

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent life experience
• 3 to 6 months of related experience or training preferred
• Ability to learn and operate injection machines and perform wax injection operations, including placement of patterns into fixtures
Language Skills
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to record information daily
• Ability to speak, listen, read, and write in English to follow instructions effectively
Mathematical Skills
• Ability to add and subtract two- and three-digit numbers
• Ability to perform simple multiplication and division
Reasoning Ability
• Apply common-sense understanding to follow detailed written or verbal instructions
• Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Physical Demands
• Regular standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Frequent use of hands for handling tools, objects, and controls
• Regular lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
• Vision requirements include close vision, color distinction, depth perception, and focus adjustment to identify defects
