Position Summary:
We are currently hiring in our Dining Services Department! This position will perform a variety of tasks required in the pantry and/or utility areas of dining services. Could include serving, food prep, cleaning and sanitizing of facilities, keeping dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, etc., clean, sanitary, and available for service.
This person will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster the value of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement with a focus on our Core Values : Safety and Sanitation, Friendly Courteous Service, Quality, Meticulous Attention to Detail, and Safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and job tasks vary according to pantry and/or utility role:
  • Pantry: Responsible for food prep and customer service including maintaining serving lines and cleaning serving area, prep area, and dining room.
  • Utility: Responsible for maintaining and cleaning dishes, silverware, china, along with floors and dish machine.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning practices.
  • Previous food service experience helpful.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated area.

Preferred Qualifications:
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
  • Ability to use various chemicals.
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 30 lbs independently.
  • Ability to withstand extreme temperatures (hot/cold).
