Job description

Machine Operator- Pay up to $21/hr- IN.

📍 Indianapolis, IN

Pay: $21/hour

Shift: 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machines such as granulators, shredders, and extrusion systems
  • Follow Run Instruction Sheets (RIS) to set up and run equipment
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Perform quality checks and collect product samples
  • Accurately record production data and logs
  • Handle materials, including loading and unloading products
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Use forklift or pallet jack to move materials (as required)
  • Label and prepare materials for production or shipment
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, percentages)
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Sit-down forklift experience required
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs (non-repetitive)
  • Ability to stand for long durations
  • Comfortable working at heights (up to 25 ft with harness)
  • Must have steel-toe or composite shoes
  • Ability to work occasional Saturdays
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with plastics manufacturing (extrusion, injection molding)
  • Machine operation experience
  • Experience in quality inspection or general production
  • Material handling experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
