This recruitment will be open until the positions are filled. DEFINITION Under the general supervision and direction of the Director of Athletics, the Sports Facilitator will provide assistance with game-day operations

Cuesta College Athletics offers an extensive and competitive intercollegiate sports program, which include 15 sports (basketball, baseball, softball, water polo, wrestling, women's soccer, cross country, track and field, swimming and diving, women's volleyball). DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS The Sports Facilitator will perform essential functions such as taking tickets, announcing and assisting with various duties during sporting events. Incumbents will perform all essential functions, which include the operation of scoreboards and the compilation of statistics which are required by the governing body of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA).

Incumbents in this position support student learning outcomes and institutional effectiveness by providing assistance with game-day operations of athletic contests. Incumbents will adhere to the rules and regulations established by the governing body of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA). Essential Functions & Qualifications ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Operating scoreboards; Compiling statistics; Announcement and introductions at games; Taking tickets; and Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS Education: Required Equivalent to graduation from the twelfth grade. Experience: Required Experience and understanding of duties required for Athletic contests; and Experience in communicating with other game personnel, coaches and officials. Preferred Previous experience in the operation of athletic equipment, such as scoreboards, time clocks or statistical books.

Knowledge of: Current technologies, personal computer, and associated office software such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and/or database software; Correct usage of English, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary; and District policies and procedures. Ability to: Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties; and Demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students and of staff and students with physical and learning disabilities. Physical ability to: Read and comprehend printed matter and text and data on computer monitors; Communicate intelligibly and effectively via speech, telephone, written correspondence, and/or email; Sit or stand for extended periods of time; Lift and/or carry 25 pounds; and Exert manual dexterity sufficient for keyboard and other office equipment operation.
