  • Identify logistics bottlenecks and contribute to corrective actions and process improvements.

Import Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Serve as a resource on CBP regulations, NHTSA/EPA/DOT/FMVSS requirements, and EV-specific HAZMAT/battery rules.
  • Validate import/export documents (CI/PL) and support Compliance with COO, test reports, MSDS/TDS, and homologation files.
  • Maintain accurate HTS classifications for vehicles, EV batteries, and regulated components, support internal teams and suppliers with guidance.
  • Assist in resolving customs exams, holds, PGA reviews, and documentation discrepancies.

Export Operations, Bonds & Special Trade Programs

  • Manage U.S. export shipments, including AES filings, destination compliance, and carrier coordination.
  • Monitor CBP bond sufficiency, renewals, usage, and exposure related to high-value EV imports.
  • Support the management of Temporary Import Bonds (TIBs) for prototypes, demo fleets, and engineering vehicles.
  • Create and oversee ATA Carnets for events, demonstrations, and temporary international movements.

Global Transportation & Warehouse Operations

  • Support 3PL transportation, warehousing, and customs operations across ocean, FTL/LTL, parcel, and air freight.
  • Support the Inventory control team with warehouse performance metrics, forecasting, pick/pack KPIs, and WMS reporting.
  • Participate in operational reviews, continuous improvement activities, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Assist the U.S. Logistics Manager in preparing semiannual executive-level performance reports.

Supplier & Contract Management

  • Provide mentorship and performance feedback to 3PLs, carriers, and warehouse partners.
  • Help develop statements of work, KPIs, RFQs, performance metrics, and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing team on MSAs, NDAs, logistics contracts, and service agreements.
  • Ensure adherence to domestic and international supply chain laws and company policies.

Operational Excellence & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain logistics KPIs, dashboards, and compliance reporting.
  • Support long-term logistics initiatives, network optimization, and cost-reduction efforts.
  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders, freight forwarders, global OEM teams, and suppliers.

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in automotive logistics, international supply chain, customs, or FVL operations.
  • Strong understanding of all transportation modes: ocean, truckload, LTL, parcel, and air.
  • Solid working knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations, CBP processes, PGAs, and EV battery requirements.
  • Familiarity with CBP Bonds, TIBs, ATA Carnets, and temporary import/export processes.
