Job description

Company Information:

Boise Cascade has been in the business of manufacturing wood products and distributing building materials for over half a century. Today we're one of the largest manufacturers of plywood and engineered wood products in North America - and the only wholesale stocking distributor for building products that can service the entire United States. Because our business is built on relationships, our associates are critical to our success.

This is a seasonal/temporary position to provide vacation relief. Seasonal hires will work as many weeks as their school schedule will allow.

Job Description:

  • General cleanup
  • Removal of wood waste and debris
  • Pulling and sorting graded lumber from moving conveyor
  • Relieving operators as needed
  • Ability to use a variety of tools such as: shovel, air hose, broom, rake, and wheel barrel

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be available to work any shift: Days, Swing, Graveyard, Relief
  • Must be able to continuously stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, stoop, twist, climb, and reach above shoulders safely
  • Occasionally lift over 50 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to successfully pass drug test, pre-employment physical, and criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in production environment
  • Consistent work history

Schedule:

Seasonal employees could be assigned to any shift below:

  • Sawmill production is Mon-Fri days or swing
  • Planer production four 10’s on days (Mon-Thurs)
  • Swing (Tues – Fri)
  • Rotate Fri & Sat day shift & Sun & Mon swing shift
  • Cleanup/Security will include graveyard and weekends
