Job description

The purpose of this position is to help and enhance Georgia Crown's presence in retail outlets, in regards to customer service (i.e. building displays, stocking inventory, rotating and stocking of beer coolers, communicating with management and ensuring optimum product condition). Will also travel to various customer locations to stock product, build displays, place advertising material as well as any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Full Time Merchandiser will also need to learn product order entry system and sales standards as position will occasionally serve as sales support and temporary vacation route relief. Ideal candidate will be self motivated, have a solid work ethic and have the capacity to learn and grow in the role.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma/GED equivalent.
• College Degree preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. occasionally/frequently to build displays and stock shelves with product.
• Knowledge of similar industry is preferred.
• Must have good people/communication skills and willingness to work with store owners, managers and sales reps.
• Must be able to push, pull and carry cases of product (i.e. building displays and stocking shelves).
• Must be able to work long & flexible hours.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to maintain 100/300/100 insurance limitations.
• Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks...).
• Motor vehicle record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility:
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:
  • Cannot have more than two (2): moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)
  • Cannot have more than one (1): speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years
  • Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years
