Data Entry Specialist
Houston, TX (onsite)
6+Month (Temp to Perm)

This role supports high-speed manual data entry, document validation, quality control, and check processing functions in a fast-paced production environment. Candidates must be available to work 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM initially, with a future shift change to 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate high-speed data entry (15,000 KS per hour) of hardcopy documents into internal software systems
  • Validate and correct automated document classification, extracted data, and redaction exceptions with low confidence levels
  • Manually enter and maintain meta-data indexing information from digital documents
  • Review digitally converted documents against hardcopy originals to ensure quality standards are met
  • Analyze digital checks and supporting documentation to verify payee information, signatures, dates, and processing accuracy
  • Correct check exceptions and generate check return letters when required according to procedures
  • Validate extracted check amounts, reconcile check batches, and maintain fiscal control standards
  • Research and analyze check distributions as required by the customer
  • Meet established productivity, quality, and accuracy standards
  • Complete paperwork accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner
  • Adapt to changing priorities and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining production and quality expectations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience
  • Previous data entry experience with strong typing and 10-key skills required (typing and 10-key test must be attached)
  • Resume must reflect relevant work experience for manager review
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with personal computers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain positive working relationships
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be flexible with shift schedules and able to work onsite interviews with the manager
