POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key leadership position responsible for managing the organization's financial affairs. The CFO will provide strategic financial direction, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimize financial performance to support the organization's mission and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Incorporates the six principles of trauma informed care throughout all aspects of their work.
  • Develops and implements financial strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Collaborates with the executive team to foster a culture of financial responsibility and transparency.
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop and execute overall organizational strategy.
  • Overall responsibility for compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to support decision-making.
  • Manages and optimizes cash flow to meet operational needs.
  • Develops and implements strategies to optimize revenue generation and operational efficiency, resulting in increased revenue and reduced costs.
  • Oversight of the budgeting process, working closely with Controller and department heads to develop and monitor budgets.
  • Oversees preparation and presents accurate and timely financial reports to the leadership and board of directors.
  • Identifies and mitigates financial risks through effective risk management strategies.
  • Develops and executes strategies for negotiating contracts with payers, insurance providers, and other third-party entities.
  • Stays informed about changes in healthcare regulations and reimbursement trends.
  • Collaborates with legal and compliance teams to address any financial compliance issues.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with financial institutions, insurers, and other external stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification.
  • Proven experience in financial leadership roles within the healthcare industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare finance, reimbursement models, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
