Job Overview

The Business Systems Administrator Senior is responsible for full performance complex work planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and providing ongoing optimization and support for business/ERP applications including cloud or web based systems. Duties include creating complex functional and technical design specifications for business/ERP applications and collaborates with analysts and other IT professionals to design technical solutions. This position may perform lead work over lower level staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports end users and provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for supported systems.
  • Coordinates and communicates the development, implementation, and production of integrated technology systems.
  • Provides technical consulting on complex projects and guidance concerning the business implications of the application of various systems.
  • Creates systems documentation including business process flows (BPF), test scripts, user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios, end-user documentation and guides and training materials.
  • Responsible for training the user in the interpretation of information systems reports, report capabilities, and limitations.
  • Assists in establishing systems analysis, configuration, and computer operations priorities in order to provide effective service to end users.
  • Plans, develops and executes functional, system regression, integration and performance testing.
  • Contacts and works with vendors to resolve complex software issues with delivered functionality.
  • Researches vendor products to stay current on new and existing functionality. Considers future product capabilities in current designs.
  • Creates appropriate tickets for documentation and approval in current ticketing system.
  • Responds to tickets including troubleshooting, education and security needs.
  • Gathers information for reported incidents and problems, assists with troubleshooting, and escalates as needed.
  • Establishes and maintains robust working relationships with leaders and end-users within designated support area(s), as well as analysts.
  • Conducts complex business needs assessments, cost/benefit analyses, and reviews business structure, policies, and operations to assist in supporting business/ERP applications.
  • Collaborates with end users to validate and translate requirements into detailed delivery designs. Validates and confirms new or changed functionalities to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Maintains system security to ensure data confidentiality.
  • Creates complex functional and technical design specifications and collaborates with analysts and other IT professionals to design solutions.
  • Performs workflow assessments, capture business needs, and analyze internal systems to determine functional requirements for optimal utilization of business/ERP applications.
  • Analyzes business processes and activities and recommends improvements to business processes.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $94,871.97 to $142,307.96
