Position Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their import/export team. This role is responsible for coordinating transportation routes, scheduling trucks, maintaining shipment records, and supporting daily logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have prior logistics experience, whether with a third-party logistics (3PL) provider or an in-house transportation department, and be able to quickly learn systems and processes.

This position works closely with warehouse, shipping, and transportation teams in a collaborative office environment. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Candidate must be English/Spanish bilingual.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate transportation routes for inbound and outbound shipments.

  • Schedule trucks and deliveries using company logistics software (training provided).

  • Monitor shipment status and ensure timely movement of freight.

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate transportation and shipping records.

  • Assist with updating information in ERP and logistics management systems.

  • Communicate with carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments regarding shipment schedules and transportation needs.

  • Oversee loading and unloading activities to ensure shipments are handled efficiently and accurately.

  • Troubleshoot scheduling issues and help identify solutions to transportation challenges.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts within logistics and shipping operations.

Qualifications
  • Previous logistics, transportation, dispatching, freight coordination, or supply chain experience required.

  • Experience with 3PL operations is helpful but not required.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Sage or similar software is a plus.

  • Strong data entry and computer skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments and external partners.

  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and responsibilities.

  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Work Environment
  • Office-based position located within the shipping and logistics department.

  • Shared workspace with a collaborative team environment.

  • Frequent interaction with warehouse and transportation personnel.

  • Fast-paced setting requiring flexibility, communication, and attention to detail.


Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
