Position Overview

The Temporary Office Worker provides short-term administrative and clerical support to assigned departments. This role assists with day-to-day office operations, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies. The position is temporary in nature and intended to support workload fluctuations, projects, or employee absences.

This position will primarily support the creation of work instructions for hourly manufacturing employees. This position works closely with production supervisors, team leaders, engineers, and operators to document manufacturing processes, ensuring instructions are clear, accurate, and easy to follow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to translate operational processes into effective written and visual documentation.

Responsibilities

Administrative & Clerical Support

  • Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, copying, scanning, and document management.
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and route inquiries to appropriate personnel.
  • Schedule meetings, coordinate calendars, and assist with basic correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems as required.

Office Operations Support

  • Assist with preparation of reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other documents.
  • Support ordering and organization of office supplies.
  • Greet visitors and provide basic assistance as needed.
  • Support special projects and miscellaneous administrative tasks.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with team members and department staff.
  • Communicate task status, issues, or questions to the assigned supervisor.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling company information.

Learning & Development

  • Observe and document manufacturing processes on the production floor.
  • Create clear, concise, and visually effective work instructions for hourly employees.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, operators, engineers, and quality personnel to verify process requirements.
  • Format documents using company-approved templates and standards.
  • Perform other administrative and documentation-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Education:
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.

This position is based on site at our facilities in Cudahy, Wisconsin. It is a manufacturing company, and this position will work with a diverse population in both office and production settings. The position will require the use of personal protective equipment (eye protection, safety shoes, etc.).
