This position provides general landscape maintenance within city limits. This includes trimming trees, cutting grass, and working city events or projects. Operates machinery such as bucket truck, backhoe, loader, small tractor, boom mower, bush hog, front mount mower, zero turn, chain saws, pole saw, weed eater, skid steer, and forklift. Works alongside other crews to assist in any projects that need to be completed. Reports to the Street Maintenance Crew Leader.
  • Operates small trucks to haul dirt, debris, rock, solid waste, and landfill material. Operates non-CDL trucks such as 30" bucket trucks, flatbed trucks, etc.
  • Mows rights-of-way and medians.
  • Trims and removes trees and bushes.
  • Places traffic cones and/or uses of traffic signs and flags to perform traffic control in accordance with the MUTCD manual, wearing proper safety vest and PPE, as needed.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or its equivalent and one (1) year of experience in a job-related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Success applicants must have a valid Driver's License and pass a background check, physical and drug screen.
The work is heavy work which requires exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
This position does not allow for benefits.
