Manufacturing Engineer I

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the research and development, implementation, and support of digital technologies that support Crown Manufacturing processes and operations.  Some examples include work instructions, connected factory solutions, inspections, kitting, data analytics, and standard work with anticipated growth of these solutions expanding over time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform pilots into scalable enterprise standards across processes, workforce practices, data, and digital tools.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging learning experiences while coaching frontline teams to drive adoption and effective use of digital solutions.
  • Lead the planning and execution of network-wide solution deployments, progressing from pilot initiatives to enterprise-scale implementation while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Partner with manufacturing facilities across the organization to achieve alignment, adoption, and sustained utilization of approved standard solutions and best practices.
  • Develop a global training program to support the solutions implemented.
  • Support existing processes resulting from process improvement, part changes, and changing capacities.

Qualifications:

 

  • 8-15 years related experience
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Must have valid driving privileges
  • Occasional travel (0-5%)
  • Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Four-year engineering degree or a two-year engineering degree with five years of work experience.  
  • Training and experience with manufacturing processes, operational excellence/lean manufacturing, and work instruction development are preferred.
  • Preferred Technical Sills: Ignition, SQL, Python, Java, C/C++, computer vision, machine learning, 3D CAD software (NX, SketchUp), Artificial Intelligence, data analytics
  • Demonstrate a strong aptitude for technology and a passion for empowering others through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
