Job description

Hourly Pay Range:
$29.68 - $46.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
  • SIGN-ON BONUS: $10,000
  • Position: Radiologic Technologist II
  • Location: Will rotate through the Woodridge, Plainfield and Naperville (75th Street) sites
  • Full Time: 36 hours weekly
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, shifts will vary between 0645am to 1515pm and 0830am - 1700pm
  • Weekends: Will rotate every other Saturday and Sunday at Plainfield site from 1500pm - 2330pm
  • Holidays: Two holidays per year, plus two holiday (on-call only) shifts per year

What you will do:
Operates a variety of radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes as directed by the Radiologists, in accordance with established protocols. Assists physicians and other clinical staff with obtaining images and other records using the Radiology PACS or hospital information systems. Explains procedure to patients, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects of job.
What you will need:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate's degree, preferred
  • IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure or "notice of IEMA compliance and authorization to perform medical radiation" - required within 2 years of temporary license date
  • At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) certification (i.e., Certificate of Program Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director of the accredited school)
  • Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
  • Prior x-ray experience in a hospital setting, preferred
  • Knowledge of all current American College of Radiology (ACR)/JCAHO requirements to maintain compliance with all rules and regulations
