Interventional Radiologist
Assignment Details
• Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
• Start Date: ASAP (upon credentialing)
• Duration: Ongoing coverage through January 2027
• Practice Setting: Hospital
• Coverage Reason: Local radiology group unable to fulfill contract
Compensation:
Tier 1:
Hourly / Call Back - $490/hr
24 Hour Call - $4130 per 24 hours
Night Call - $1,090/shift
Tier 2:
Hourly / Call Back - $545/hr
24 Hour Call - $4675 per 24 hours
Night Call - $1325/shift
Schedule
• Weekday Onsite Coverage:
• Monday Friday
• 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
• Call Coverage:
• Weekdays: 4:00 PM 8:00 AM
• Weekends/Holidays: 24-hour call (8:00 AM 8:00 AM)
• Ongoing coverage beginning in September
Clinical Details
• Interventional Radiology service
• Diagnostic radiology reading is optional
• Broad Interventional Radiology practice including:
• Angiography and arteriography
• Angioplasty, stenting, atherectomy, embolization, chemoembolization
• Thrombectomy and thrombolytic therapy
• Venous interventions and IVC filter placement
• Central venous and dialysis access
• Chest tube placement
• Image-guided biopsies, aspirations, drainages, and injections
• Nephrostomy, ureteral stenting, stone access
• Hepatobiliary interventions
• Gastrostomy, gastrojejunostomy, cecostomy
• Tumor ablation and image-guided oncology procedures
• TIPS
• Uterine artery embolization
• Vertebral augmentation
• Lumbar puncture, myelography, epidural steroid injections, facet injections, and nerve blocks
• Thoracentesis and paracentesis
• PACS/Dictation: Merge, PowerScribe 360, Dragon
• Dedicated technologist and nursing support
Requirements
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology
• Fellowship not required
• Active Tennessee license or IMLC
• DEA required
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Must be available to begin in September and provide ongoing coverage through the end of the year
• Clean malpractice history preferred
Credentialing
• Emergency/Temporary privileges available
Additional Information
• Physicians may practice 100% Interventional Radiology without diagnostic radiology responsibilities.
