Job Title: Temp Administrative Assistant
Located in Mount Angel, OR
This is a 60-90 day contract position
Full-time Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Job Description
This temporary Administrative Assistant role provides critical support to the corporate office by handling mail, processing checks, assisting with basic customer account maintenance, and supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable activities. The position offers an opportunity to build strong relationships with the team and potentially move into a customer service or ecommerce-focused role based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Open envelopes, remove checks, and organize them for further processing.
  • Scan checks to the bank using the appropriate systems and procedures.
  • Perform basic customer account maintenance, including updating information and ensuring accuracy in records.
  • Retrieve and compile information from websites and store it in DocuWare, the electronic billing system.
  • Assist with accounts receivable (AR) tasks, such as organizing payment information and supporting billing activities.
  • Assist with accounts payable (AP) tasks, including organizing invoices and supporting payment processing workflows.
  • Provide professional customer service over the phone, responding to inquiries and routing calls as needed.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications to create, edit, and maintain documents, spreadsheets, and other administrative materials.
  • Support general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document organization to ensure smooth office operations.

Essential Skills
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn and use office software and systems quickly.
  • Basic administrative skills, including data entry, document handling, and filing.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related tools.

Work Environment
This role is based in the corporate central office and follows a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position involves working in a professional office setting with regular use of computers, scanners, and office equipment to process mail, checks, and electronic documents. The environment supports collaboration with office staff and finance teams, with opportunities to interact with customer service and ecommerce teams. The dress code aligns with a typical corporate office environment.
