Role Description The Senior Buyer is a full-time, on-site role. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and issuing purchase orders for materials, components, and services. The Senior Buyer monitors inventory levels, coordinates with production and engineering teams to ensure timely material availability, and resolves supply issues to support manufacturing schedules. Daily tasks include analyzing demand forecasts, maintaining vendor relationships, tracking delivery performance, and identifying cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities. The Senior Buyer also supports compliance with company policies and industry standards, maintains accurate purchasing records, and prepares reports and recommendations for leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Korean
  • Demonstrated experience in purchasing or supply chain roles, preferably within manufacturing, industrial equipment, or motion control environments.
  • Proficiency with ERP or MRP systems, purchasing software, and basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel or similar applications).
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration capabilities to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management, demand planning, and cost control principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate supplier performance, address delays or quality issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Relevant certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, or CSCP are a plus.
