Job description

Lakeshore Talent is in search of a Procurement Assistant for a short-term contract opportunity with the potential to become a long-term or permanent position. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive administrative professional or early-career procurement/supply chain candidate who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable keeping multiple priorities moving.

Position Details
  • Pay Rate: 20–25 per hour

  • Employment Type: Contract, with potential for long-term/permanent

  • Contract Length: Approximately 4–5 weeks to start

  • Start Date: Immediate need

  • Schedule: 30–40 hours per week

  • Location: Hybrid – Englewood, CO

  • In-Office: Tuesday–Thursday

  • Remote: Monday and Friday

 About the Role

This position is being added to provide temporary coverage during a paternity leave. The immediate priority is providing hands-on administrative and tactical support to the procurement team and helping keep day-to-day purchasing activity organized and moving forward.

This is not a traditional strategic purchasing role. The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, responsive, takes initiative, communicates well, and can manage a high volume of requests with minimal supervision.

A strong administrative professional with some purchasing exposure or an early-career procurement or supply chain candidate could be an excellent fit. Recent graduates with relevant education, internship experience, or an interest in growing within procurement are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and triage the Procurement phone and shared email inbox, including helping clear existing requests and backlog.

  • Follow up with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, missing items, and outstanding requests.

  • Assist with purchase orders and tactical, one-off purchasing for equipment, parts, and supplies.

  • Support purchasing requests related to Facilities work orders and new locations/openings.

  • Track outstanding items and proactively follow through to completion.

  • Maintain organized files, documentation, and purchasing records.

  • Assist with Excel tracking, basic research, and data analysis.

  • Help coordinate and prioritize incoming procurement requests.

  • Take on additional administrative and procurement projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Strong organization, communication, and follow-through skills.

  • Some experience with purchasing, procurement, order management, inventory, or a related area.

  • Comfortable communicating with vendors and managing a high volume of requests.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong general computer skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently.

  • Proactive, dependable, and willing to jump in wherever needed.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with purchase orders or purchasing systems.

  • Strong Excel and data-tracking skills.

  • Exposure to procurement, supply chain, facilities, construction, or similar environments.

  • Relevant degree or coursework in supply chain, procurement, business, or a related field.

  • Internship or recent graduate experience in procurement or supply chain.

Who Will Be Successful in This Role?

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.

  • Is highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Can prioritize competing requests in a busy environment.

  • Communicates clearly and professionally with vendors and internal teams.

  • Follows through and doesn't let tasks fall through the cracks.

  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

  • Brings a positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn.

Experience in high-energy, service-driven environments such as fitness, retail, hospitality, facilities, or similar industries is a plus. A genuine interest in fitness and wellness is also valued.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This assignment offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across purchasing, vendor communication, order management, facilities support, and procurement administration. Depending on business needs and performance, there may also be an opportunity to transition into a longer-term or permanent procurement position with broader responsibilities.

If you're an organized, motivated professional looking to build your procurement or supply chain experience—or an experienced administrator ready to take on a new challenge—we'd love to hear from you.
