Job description


Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a shipping associate opening at a company in Danbury CT. This is a temp-to-hire job.
The shipping associate is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processes.
The hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Generate orders/reports from in-house system
  • Pick and/or verify orders
  • Package, weigh, and perform data entry into the house database
  • Ensure all materials are shipped to customers and consignors within the assigned timeline and uphold standard of 100% accuracy
  • Use various shipping tools and platforms to expedite parcels via USPS and FedEx
  • Perform delivery and/or pick-up of materials as assigned by supervisor
  • Perform daily or when needed postal runs to Post Office, FedEx and UPS
  • Prepare and package products for shipment using appropriate packaging materials, ensuring items are secure and protected thoroughly
  • Pick, pack and organize orders efficiently using order pickers and RF scanners
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
  • Warehouse and/or shipping experience
  • Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and inventory stocking techniques is strongly preferred
  • Basic math skills for counting inventory accurately and processing orders efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work effectively in a high value setting
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), AS400 or similar ERP platforms preferred
  • Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including lifting and carrying 40 lbs. or more
  • Able to pass pre-employment screenings
