Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring an experienced Order Picker for a vinyl manufacturing company in Placentia, CA. This is a temp-to-hire, 1st shift position paying $20.00/hr. In this role, you will locate and pull vinyl rolls, sheets, and boxes based on order forms, and use forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to retrieve and transport vinyl stock throughout the facility. Overtime is available, and weekend availability is required.


Pay: $20.00/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:40 PM; weekend availability required

Location: Placentia, CA

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order picker machines to access and transport vinyl stock from racks and shelves.
  • Scan and log inventory and order data using a handheld RF (radio frequency) scanner or WMS (warehouse management system).
  • Move completed pallets of picked orders to the staging area or loading dock.
  • Wrap pallets using a stretch wrap machine to secure outbound orders.
  • Keep work areas, aisles, and storage locations clean and organized.


Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of order picking or warehouse experience.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating a reach truck or order picker machine in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with WMS (warehouse management system) or RF scanning equipment.
  • Experience picking from high-bay racking systems or multi-level shelving.
  • Previous work in a vinyl, building materials, flooring, or industrial supply warehouse.
  • Forklift certification or documented forklift operating experience.
  • You may be a great fit if you've held any of these titles: Order Picker, Warehouse Associate, Picker and Packer, Material Handler, Forklift Operator, Reach Truck Operator, Inventory Associate, Stock Picker, Warehouse Selector, Shipping and Receiving Associate.


Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the shift.
  • Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
  • Must communicate effectively in English.
