Job Description

The Order Picker works in a fast-paced order processing department, accurately picking products, packing boxes, labeling shipments, and loading packages onto conveyors and trucks. This role relies on a modern, AI-driven inventory system and requires consistent walking, light to moderate lifting, and close attention to detail to meet productivity and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the order processing department to pick, pack, label, and load customer orders according to established procedures.
  • Use a cart equipped with a tablet to follow precise picking instructions, including what items to pick, how many, and their locations in the warehouse.
  • Manage a cart with approximately 12 totes at a time, ensuring each tote represents a different order and is filled accurately while working on multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Follow guidance from an AI-based inventory system that optimizes pick paths and directs you to products located near each other to improve efficiency and pick rates.
  • Place completed totes onto a conveyor that moves them from the picking area to the packaging area within the order processing department.
  • Work at the packaging conveyor, removing products from totes and packing them into the appropriate boxes as they arrive.
  • Use an automated packaging system that lights up the correct box location on a cart, indicating which box to use for each order.
