Job Title: Order Picker

Job Description

This role focuses on safely and efficiently operating a ride-on electric pallet jack to pick, stage, and track orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will use RF scanners and a warehouse management system to maintain accurate inventory, support order fulfillment, and ensure products are correctly staged for loading onto trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a ride-on double electric pallet jack safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
  • Move quickly and accurately to select orders from purchase orders in a fast-paced, merit-based environment.
  • Stage completed pallets in designated areas next to trucks for loading.
  • Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and confirm order accuracy.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure products are stored and located correctly.
  • Support general warehouse activities such as inventory handling and receiving as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working around material handling equipment and heavy loads.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating a ride-on electric pallet jack.
  • At least 6 months of experience selecting product in a fast-paced, merit-based environment.
  • Proficiency using RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking.
  • Ability to safely operate single and double ride-on electric pallet jacks.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Experience with order selecting, order fulfillment, order pulling, and order picking.
  • Familiarity with purchase orders and selector processes.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under time pressure while maintaining safety standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience using a warehouse management system (WMS) to manage inventory and product locations.
  • Experience in inventory, receiving, and general warehouse operations.
  • Experience operating a sit-down forklift is a plus.
  • Comfort working with RF scan guns and other warehouse technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work a second shift schedule.

Work Environment

This position is based in an open bay warehouse environment where you will work around material handling equipment and moving pallets. The role follows a second shift schedule from 6:00 p.m. until finish, which may extend up to 6:00 a.m., depending on workload. Steel-toe footwear is required for safety. You will regularly use ride-on electric pallet jacks (single and double), RF scan guns, and a warehouse management system, and you will be frequently lifting up to 50 lbs. and moving throughout the facility in a fast-paced setting

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
