Performs the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Responsible for operating power industrial trucks to transport material within the facility. The role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, and computers.
Responsibilities:

  • Performs quality checks on outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Picks and stages orders for shipping.
  • Loads, unloads, puts away, stacks, and stages products and materials using a forklift or other powered equipment.
  • Executes ERP system transactions for outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Learns to use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to fulfill orders.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy.
  • Handles and controls hazardous materials on both inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Complies with 5S safety, housekeeping practices, and regulations.
  • Completes all required safety training and follows protocol in all risk situations.
  • Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to assigned tasks.
  • Obtains certification on powered industrial trucks, including sit-down forklifts, dock stockers, and powered pallet jacks.
  • Maintains knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation.
  • Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 75 pounds.
  • Performs activities to evaluate and maintain equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience on Reach truck/stand up and order picker/cherry picker*****
  • Proficiency in operating industrial forklifts and other warehouse equipment, including stand-up reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks.
  • Experience with RF equipment for transporting, receiving, and loading functions.

Preferred Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year or more of proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting or similar environment.
  • Full knowledge of all functions within own area.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Certification in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, pallet jacks) is a plus.
