Job description

*Must be able to train for 3 weeks on 1st shift *
 
Job Summary: Responsible for assembly product for individual orders and loading on trailers for shipment.  
  
Duties and Responsibilities of the Job: 
  • Receive load packet with pick tickets from load coordinator 
  • Hand out pick tickets to pickers 
  • Use Shop Floor system to locate product 
  • Use forklift/high-lift to pick the product (use proper age dates when picking order) 
  • Scan the picked product to the order 
  • Wrap each pallet using an automated wrap machine 
  • Fill out proper paperwork(Talley sheet, seal tag, pallet report(Costco).   
  • Load assigned trailer in order of shipment stops and to meet weight requirements 
  • Work in a safe manner 
  • Follow Food Safety Guidelines 
  • Follow Housekeeping Procedures 
  
Qualifications: 
  • Ability to operate high lift/ forklift in a safe manner  
  • Must be able to demonstrate safe work practices 
  • Must pass certification to operate a high lift/forklift 
  • Must be able to safely lift 100 lbs. consistently throughout shift 
  • Ability to work in environment of 28 degrees 
  • Ability to operate scan gun 
  • Ability to operate Shop Floor system 
  • Ability to operate automatic wrapping machines 
  • Understanding of the logistics of loading a trailer
