Job description

Utility Operator Position - Full Time - Temp to Hire

Location: Turners Falls, MA

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6am-2:30pm (Temp) 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am rotating days (Perm)

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on utilities systems and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to operational issues, troubleshooting and resolving as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of operations and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with facility upkeep and housekeeping as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in training sessions and follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in utility operation, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate machinery safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
