Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay: $19.00–$20.00 per hour


Schedule:
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and safety-driven Plater Machine Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating copper plating equipment, monitoring production quality, and preparing copper rods for the wire manufacturing process. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing, metal processing, or industrial production and is committed to producing high-quality products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust copper plating machinery to ensure safe and efficient production

  • Inspect plated copper rods and finished products to verify quality standards are met

  • Prepare finished copper rods by pointing, chamfering, labeling, and staging materials for shipment or the next production process

  • Complete production orders, quality documentation, and inventory records accurately

  • Perform routine equipment inspections and identify mechanical issues requiring maintenance

  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues to minimize production downtime

  • Operate forklifts to transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility

  • Assist with material handling and production support as needed

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and standard operating procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in manufacturing, production, metal processing, or industrial operations

  • Minimum one (1) year of forklift operating experience

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate production equipment

  • Ability to read and complete production paperwork accurately

  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
