NOW HIRING- Experience Plating Technician in Central San Diego- $25-$28/hour!

Job Description

The plating technician will be responsible for ensuring the plating line operates within specified parameters. This includes running production processes, checking equipment functionality, mixing chemicals, and conducting chemical tests on liquids, gases, and solids. The technician will perform basic maintenance on plating equipment and prepare new chemical baths. They will also rinse and clean tanks, adjust bubblers, and manage the manual plating of small electronic parts through hand-dipping methods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure plating line parameters are within specifications.
• Run production and check equipment functionality.
• Mix chemicals according to required formulas.
• Conduct testing of chemicals, including liquids, gases, and solids.
• Perform basic maintenance on plating equipment.
• Prepare and dump new chemical baths.
• Rinse and clean tanks, and adjust bubblers.
• Manually plate small electronic parts through hand-dipping.
• Handle chemicals in large 55-gallon drums using a hand truck.
• Manage chemicals and materials in storage, transporting them to production.
• Perform various production tasks including moving supplies, chemicals, and tooling.
• Assist with incoming QA, shipping, and receiving.
• Clean metal screen frames using alcohol and remove tape.
• Perform general cleanup and 5S.
• Log completed work into the computer system.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience working with chemicals and plating on metal parts.
• Mechanically inclined with basic low-level maintenance skills.
• Good computer skills for logging products and keeping records.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and understand written instructions in English.
• Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 60 lbs safely.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Flexibility to assist in various areas of plating and cross-training opportunities.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.

The work involves microelectronic manufacturing and requires wearing protective clothing and gear. The environment is quality-oriented and timely work is expected. It may be dusty, and employees must be able to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, stand, and twist.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
