What does a Temp Manager do?

A Temp Manager oversees temporary employees within an organization, ensuring that staffing needs are met efficiently and effectively. They are responsible for recruiting, onboarding, supervising, and evaluating temporary staff, often coordinating with staffing agencies. Temp Managers also handle scheduling, resolve workplace issues, and ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations. Their role is crucial for organizations that experience fluctuating workloads or require specialized skills for short-term projects.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Temp Manager?

To thrive as a Temp Manager, you need strong organizational skills, experience in staffing or HR, and a solid understanding of employment laws and best practices. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), scheduling software, and HR management platforms is typically required.
