Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) operations in Orlando, FL. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a secure, fast-paced environment supporting enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity initiatives, and lab operations while collaborating with engineering and cyber leadership.

As a Systems Administrator II, you will:

  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server environments supporting mission-critical systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, firmware, and enterprise applications.
  • Configure user accounts, permissions, group policies, and system access controls.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and perform hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Maintain server configurations in compliance with DISA STIGs and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Support vulnerability management activities using ACAS and other DoD security tools.
  • Perform system hardening, patch management, and configuration management.
  • Support VMware virtual infrastructure including ESXi and vSphere environments.
  • Provide Tier I, II, and III technical support through the enterprise help desk.
  • Assist with lab operations and provide technical support during scheduled testing events.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Engineering teams to implement secure, reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • Maintain centralized logging solutions such as Splunk (or similar technologies).
  • Support system documentation, change management, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • 3–5 years of Systems Administration experience
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (equivalent experience considered)
  • Must be local to the Orlando, FL area
  • Must be willing to work onsite full-time
