Job Title : Waters Empower CDS / Lab Systems Administrator
Location : New Albany, OH 
Client: TCS 
Rate: $40/hr on c2c

We are seeking an experienced Empower CDS / Lab Systems Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Waters Empower, including system administration, upgrades, and laboratory instrument connectivity. The role will support reliable and compliant operation of Empower within a regulated laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support the Waters Empower CDS suite, including user/access management, configuration, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
Support and execute Empower upgrades, including planning, testing, deployment, and post-upgrade stabilization.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrument connectivity with Empower, including acquisition clients/nodes and associated interfaces.
Perform Lab System Administration activities to ensure system availability, performance, security, and operational continuity.
Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes in alignment with ITIL processes.
Execute and document system changes through established Change Control processes within a regulated/GxP environment.
Collaborate with laboratory users, infrastructure teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
Required Qualifications
4-8 years of relevant experience supporting laboratory informatics/CDS systems.
Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with Waters Empower CDS.
Demonstrated experience supporting or executing Empower version upgrades.
Good understanding of Empower instrument connectivity and laboratory infrastructure.
Experience in Lab System Administration and production support.
Working knowledge of ITIL, incident management, and change-control processes.
Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated/GxP environment is preferred.
Preferred Profile
A technically strong, hands-on professional who can independently manage Empower administration, upgrades, instrument integration, and operational support while maintaining compliance and system reliability.
