We are seeking an experienced EHS Consultant to support a food and beverage manufacturing facility on a part-time basis. The consultant will serve as an extension of the onsite EHS team, providing hands-on support for safety, environmental, training, compliance, and regulatory activities. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage with employees at all levels of the organization.

• Support site safety and environmental programs.
• Conduct facility walkthroughs and hazard assessments.
• Assist with regulatory data collection and submissions.
• Facilitate safety training and communications.
• Support compliance tracking and audit readiness efforts.
• Partner with supervisors and managers on corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS documentation and records.
• Assist with process safety and risk management activities when applicable.

• Experience supporting EHS programs in manufacturing or warehousing environments.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to influence employees and leadership without direct authority.
• Experience working in regulated industrial environments.
• Familiarity with safety management systems.
• Experience supporting audits and inspections preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Skills in PSM, RMP, Audit, EHS, and contractor safety.
• Experience with OSHA, VAOSHA, EPA compliance, and incident investigation.

This role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse facility for a food and beverage company. The schedule is approximately 2-3 days per week, for an initial engagement of 3-6 months. The position requires onsite presence and involves exposure to the manufacturing floor, warehouse operations, and industrial equipment. Standard manufacturing PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear may be required as per site policy.

This is a Contract position based out of Winchester, VA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $80.00/hr.
