As a remote EHS professional, you may travel between facilities to inspect working environments and ensure optimal occupational health practices. Your responsibilities may include providing correct working methods, ensuring potentially toxic materials are handled correctly, reviewing equipment used, and checking that all operations follow industry and government regulations. You may recommend changes when compliance is an issue and provide training programs for employees of the organization. You may also investigate accidents to determine the cause and prevent future mishaps. An EHS specialist or EHS manager are common remote EHS positions.
