Overview 
 
 We are seeking a Research Analyst to join CBS's National TV Research team! In this role, you'll be a key member of the CBS TV Network research group, helping to craft a compelling story about how audiences engage with CBS content across platforms and dayparts. You'll partner closely with research leaders to deliver timely, pertinent, and insightful analysis that informs decision-making across CBS and Paramount Global.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Track audience viewership across linear, digital, and social platforms, delivering timely daily and weekly performance insights that highlight key trends
  • Assist in summarizing data into clear visual stories. Use dashboards and presentations to help key partners understand the information and take action. Work closely with researchers and analysts across CBS. Help integrate insights from different data sources and methods.
  •  Support in reviewing data for accuracy and flag potential data quality issues as they arise
  • Contribute to maintaining and updating reporting tools and dashboards, supporting efforts to streamline workflows and increase reporting efficiency
  •  Provide support on ad-hoc research requests and projects for teams including marketing, sales, programming, and scheduling
  • Help provide insights on performance across multiple platforms. This will support CBS and Paramount Global. It will show how content performs, how audiences behave, and what the competitive trends are
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1+ years of professional experience in analytics within TV or digital mediums preferred
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and awareness with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Insight with audience and content measurement tools, such as Nielsen, VideoAmp, iSpot, and comScore TV data is a plus; knowledge of Nielsen Content Link is a plus
 
 
Additional Qualifications
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (such as Tableau) is a plus; interest in learning big-data environments such as Snowflake is encouraged 
  •  Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize data findings clearly and concisely; ability to work individually and collaboratively
  •  Demonstrates solid organizational skills, with the ability to manage tasks and maintain solid attention to detail
  • Displays a genuine interest in the media landscape; is a consumer of shows across at least one platform (linear, streaming, or social)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $56,000.00 - 84,000.00. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
