Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Translator fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English to support business operations for a temporary 6-month assignment. This role will be based onsite in the Charlotte, NC area and will focus on accurate translation and interpretation of both written and verbal communications to ensure effective collaboration between English- and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate, real-time verbal interpretation between Mandarin Chinese and English during meetings, calls, and virtual discussionsย 
  • Translate written documents, including emails, reports, policies, and technical materials, ensuring clarity and cultural accuracyย 
  • Review and proofread translated materials for accuracy, grammar, and consistencyย 
  • Serve as a communication bridge between teams, ensuring intent and tone are appropriately conveyedย 
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and employee informationย 
  • Support cross-functional teams with translation needs as requiredย 
  • Adapt translations to suit business context, industry terminology, and audienceย 

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written) requiredย 
  • Proven experience in translation and/or interpretation in a professional settingย 
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances and business communication practices in both languagesย 
  • Excellent written communication and proofreading skillsย 
  • Ability to work independently in a remote/offsite environmentย 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detailย 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual communication tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom)ย
