Job Title: Telemetry/RF Technician Job Category: Service Contract Act Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None * * * The Opportunity: This engineering technician position will be in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division's missile telemetry data branch in their West Coast operations in Norco, CA. Responsibilities: * Technician will primarily be responsible for assisting with telemetry system design for portable operations on board various naval ships.
* Telemetry hardware logistics assistance.
* Onload/offload/installation of telemetry gear from ships.
* Ship riding with telemetry lead engineer to collect missile telemetry data for analysis purposes. * In addition to these responsibilities, this technician will provide assistance to the lead telemetry engineers onsite at NSWC Corona as well as on board various US Navy and Foreign Navy ships as required. * Additionally, this technician will be responsible for maintaining the data repository for the missile telemetry group and archiving data as required. Qualifications: Required: * High School diploma or G.E.D. required
* 4+ years' experience operating Windows Computers
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
* Must be a US Citizen
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds
* Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance Desired: * 4+ years of US Navy experience
* Some knowledge of electronics/computer components and basic understanding of RF * Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools
