The department collaborates with Operations, Sales, Engineering, Information Technology and Management to ensure the system continues to fulfill Vantage customer requirements. Automation Systems works closely with partner contractors to come up with the best design and helps manage these partners to success by providing accurate requirements, goals, and timelines. In addition to design and construction, we are also responsible for the technical requirements of the Operations department involving troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing mission critical control systems throughout all Vantage locations.Position OverviewThis role can be based in Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO; New Albany, OH; Ashburn, VA; Atlanta, GA; San Antonio, TX or Abilene TX, following Vantage's hybrid work policy (3 days in the office; 2 days flexible).Vantage is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, hands-on Senior Automation Telemetry Engineer to support telemetry systems development, customer usage tracking, operational data delivery, and internal data needs across Vantage facilities.This role supports the collection, validation, configuration, and maintenance of telemetry data used by internal teams and external customers. You will review power distribution diagrams, metering specifications, network architecture documents, points lists, configuration sheets, and project documentation to implement and maintain telemetry collection systems for both new and existing facilities.You will also troubleshoot existing telemetry collection and usage tracking systems in live, mission-critical environments and assist with validation, testing, comissioning, and ongoing support of data center metering infrastructure.This role requires strong ownership, proactive communication, consistent follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple customer-facing and operational deliverables through completion.Essential Job FunctionsImplement and maintain telemetry collection, usage tracking, and operational data applications.Configure and maintain telemetry systems, points lists, configuration sheets, and associated documentation.Support customer telemetry, usage reporting, data validation, and operational reporting requirements.Review, validate, and maintain telemetry data flows to ensure accuracy and availability.Assist in testing, commissioning, and support of telemetry infrastructure.Own assigned deliverables from initiation through completion.Proactively communicate risks, blockers, schedule impacts, and changes in priority.Drive incidents, customer requests, and project tasks through closure.Maintain documentation and supporting artifacts within approved repositories.Support continuous improvement of telemetry standards, data quality, and operational processes.Additional duties as assigned by Management.DutiesCollaborate with Design, Engineering, Finance, Construction, Information Technology, and Site Operations teams.Review project documents including metering specifications, points lists, network architecture diagrams, and configuration sheets.Maintain Telemetry System Architecture Documents and supporting technical records.Prioritize competing operational, support, and project activities in alignment with business and customer priorities.Monitor deliverables to ensure milestones and due dates are achieved, escalating risks when necessary.Maintain visibility of active work through clear documentation, status updates, and communication.Support knowledge sharing, documentation quality, and continuity of support across the team.Provide technical guidance to junior team members and project stakeholders.Job Requirements2-3 years of experience in Automation Systems, Telemetry, Data Analytics, OT systems, or related fields required;
