The Telehealth Nurse Manager oversees the daily clinical, operational, and staffing functions of the organization’s virtual nursing services. Working under the Director of Telehealth Nursing Services and in collaboration with onsite leadership, this role ensures high-quality, compliant patient care across telehealth operations. The position focuses on supporting virtual nursing staff, maintaining efficient operations, and driving strong performance outcomes. The Telehealth Nurse Manager also plays a key role in fostering staff engagement and maintaining effective relationships with clients and partners.

  • Provide leadership, support, scheduling, and guidance to virtual nursing staff delivering telehealth services.
  • Coordinate orientation, training, continuing education, recruitment, and performance evaluation of virtual nurses.
  • Oversee development, delivery, and evaluation of patient care in compliance with nursing standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison and escalation point for clinical and operational issues, supporting quality improvement and risk management.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, support service implementation, conduct audits and reviews, and promote service excellence.

Education

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year correctional healthcare experience required
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience in an acute setting recommended

Licenses/Certifications

  • Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
