Trainer I

GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training from Squad through Echelon Above Brigade (EAB).

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

  • Provides classroom based instruction on multiple Command and Control Information Systems (C2IS).

  • Delivers small, medium and large collective training events / exercises in accordance within the established MTC training program.

  • Supports Unit Commander's Training Objectives by developing training methods and materials such as curriculum, lectures, and computer-based training aids based on consultation with client / user specifications.

  • Develops TSP training products that include comprehensive operational procedures for an integrated federation of C2IS and Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) simulation / stimulation systems.

  • Participates in Event / Exercise lifecycle management (planning, preparation, execution and recovery, AAR).Consults with users to design, create, and configure systems to meet their training requirements.

  • Assists in the development of training environments that are unique to unit training requirements.

  • Completes setup and configuration of systems, conducts testing, troubleshooting and modification of systems as required.

  • Participates in internal AARs upon completion of training

  • Certifies IAW the Professional Development and Certification Program (PDCP)

  • Performs other duties as required

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BA/BS or equivalent years of experience

  • Experience: 5 years of military training and training support operations; MTC experience highly preferred

  • Required Technical skills:

    • Training / instruction expertise

    • Hands on expertise on C2IS and Sim-Stim systems and integration

    • Robust knowledge of the Army and Joint Event Life Cycle and planning processes, simulation and tactical network architecture

  • Security Clearance: Secret Clearance required to start.

  • Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Superb presentation and communication skills

    • Strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on JELC / ELM requirements and Simulation objectives

    • Must be able to lead a planning team to create a high-fidelity, realistic training event in a Live, Virtual, and Constructive environment to meet customer requirements

  • Location: Onsite at Ft Bragg, NC

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $40.35 - $54.59. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
