Job description

The Corporate Accounting Manager manages the day-to-day accounting operations of Lincoln's corporate accounting function. This role oversees a team of accountants and associates, manages the corporate monthly close process, and ensures accurate and timely financial reporting across corporate cost centers, allocations, and balance sheet accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day corporate accounting operations, including the monthly financial close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of accountants and accounting associates, setting expectations and supporting professional growth with 1-3 being direct reports.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for corporate cost centers and balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare or review monthly financial statements and variance analysis for corporate entities.
  • Oversee corporate AP processes, including invoice coding, approvals, and payment runs.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate with payroll, HR, and other departments to ensure accurate recording of corporate expenses and allocations.
  • Support lender compliance reporting, audit preparation, and tax compliance activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment; commercial real estate experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
  • Experience managing or supervising accounting staff.
  • Proficiency in Yardi, NetSuite, or similar accounting ERP platforms; advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
