The (USA) Technician, Telecommunications, plays a critical role in supporting the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of telecommunications and cabling systems across Walmart facilities. This position involves coordinating with multiple teams to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met while adhering to relevant codes and regulations. The technician conducts inspections, performs troubleshooting, and provides onsite training to maintain system reliability and network availability. By applying technical expertise and collaborating with stakeholders, this role contributes to delivering efficient, compliant, and innovative telecommunications solutions that support business operations and customer needs.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct wireless surveys and validate connectivity to maintain system reliability, adjusting components as necessary to enhance network availability.
  • Assist in developing and implementing cabling and telecommunication systems, ensuring compliance with technical codes and standards.
  • Inspect supplier installations for contract compliance, perform quality checks, and report issues for timely resolution.
  • Provide onsite training and support to technicians, promoting skill development and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements throughout all activities.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
