Job description

Telecommunications / LMR Subject Matter Expert (1099)

Engagement Type Independent Contractor (1099)

Location: Remote with site assessment travel as a task order requires

Rate $170 per hour (consultant direct rate)

1099 Engagement — Independent Contractor: This is an independent contractor (1099) engagement, not W-2 employment. Consultants execute a PSCG Master Independent Consultant Agreement. Consultants set their own hours within defined deliverable deadlines, maintain their own equipment, and are free to work for other clients. No PSCG benefits apply; consultants manage their own taxes, insurance, and retirement.

ABOUT PSCG

Essential Healthcare Solutions LLC is supporting Pinnacle Solutions & Consulting Group (PSCG), an SBA-Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in New Braunfels, Texas, in its search for motivated, solution-driven team players eager to embrace the responsibilities of working in a dynamic and professionally rewarding environment. PSCG maintains telecommunications and Land Mobile Radio subject matter experts for per-task-order engagement supporting responder communications restoration on federal disaster response task orders. Target consultants include former FEMA MERS personnel and industry telecommunications specialists.

THE ENGAGEMENT

PSCG is looking for Telecommunications and LMR SMEs for engagement on federal disaster response task orders involving responder communications, emergency telecom restoration, and deployed communications capability assessment.

TYPICAL SCOPE OF WORK

• Assess responder communications infrastructure damage following declared disasters.

• Advise on temporary emergency communications deployment.

• Support LMR trunking system restoration and augmentation.

• Coordinate with FEMA MERS, FirstNet, and applicant public safety communications staff.

• Scope FEMA PA Project Worksheets for communications infrastructure.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or related discipline; military or federal equivalent acceptable.

• Minimum ten (10) years of telecommunications or responder communications experience.

• Knowledge of LMR, P25, FirstNet, and emergency communications architectures.

• Active clients or portfolio demonstrating genuine independent contractor status.

• U.S. Citizenship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Public Trust or Secret clearance.

• FEMA MERS alumni status or equivalent federal deployed communications experience.

• APCO or NENA certifications.

• Pacific region communications experience.

ENGAGEMENT TERMS

• Engagement under PSCG Master Independent Consultant Agreement.
